Rich Cada founded Act4ParkinsonsTM after his own diagnosis in 2020, turning adversity into a mission to empower others. With 40+ years in executive leadership, he brings strategic vision and compassion to the organization. A lifelong athlete and electrical engineer, Rich is dedicated to making Parkinson’s research accessible to families through clear, user-friendly tools and community-driven outreach.

Samantha York, Secretary/Treasurer

Samantha York is also the Executive Director of Act4ParkinsonsTM. With 20+ years in marketing, nonprofit leadership, and community service, she brings strategic insight and compassion to the role. Her background includes executive roles, business ownership, and direct care work. Samantha is passionate about simplifying Parkinson’s research and supporting families.

Rebecca Cada, Director

Director

Rebecca Cada is a seasoned volunteer coordinator with 15 years of experience at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, where she led volunteer recruitment for the guide program. She also served as a volunteer guide for 10 years, continuing her service beyond her staff role. Her dedication to public engagement makes her a valuable asset to the Act4ParkinsonsTM board.

Director

Brian York brings over 25 years of experience in ministry, nonprofit development, and business leadership. He currently serves as Director of Development at Fair Haven Children’s Home in Missouri. A former minister and martial arts studio owner, Brian’s dedication to service and outreach makes him a valuable contributor to Act4ParkinsonsTM.

Don McFall, Director

Don McFall is a retired mental health professional and nonprofit leader. He served over 30 years in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor and now supports children and families at a local children’s home. Inspired by past patients and a neighbor with Parkinson’s, Don brings strong leadership and compassion to the Act4ParkinsonsTM board.

Ron Shorts is a retired professional who brings strong skills in public speaking, networking, and collaborative leadership to the Act4ParkinsonsTM Board. He is passionate about early detection advocacy and inspired by the mission and team behind Act4ParkinsonsTM. Ron is committed to helping expand outreach and build meaningful community connections.

Brad Lesko

Brad Lesko

Director

Brad Lesko is a retired entrepreneur who founded Fox Thermal Instruments and grew it from a garage startup into a leading manufacturer on the Monterey Peninsula. After selling the company in 2016, Brad retired and now enjoys time with his grandchildren, golf, and surfing. Inspired by his friend Rich Cada, Brad brings creativity and collaboration to the Act4ParkinsonsTM board.
